Level Up, Chapter 4
GD 201- For Heavens Sake » Devlog
The author first talks about how a company compared game design to catching fish, which the author thought was wrong since catching fish is calm and can be enjoyable. I find this true since making a game can be hard and frustrating , but also rewarding. "Games and studios have been destroyed by too much crunch time, so be responsible. Game polishing and bug squashing remind me of chili simmering. Chili isn’t ready the moment you finish assembling it." The chapter also talks about making a Game Design Document which I really like because it tells the reader on the many steps on making a game and how doing these can help them be more organized and help them make their game!
